Just enter text into the “search the site” field over to the right, for something you remember. It can be something that was in the photos or written in the text.
Slideshows are presented as a vertical stack of photos with captions, which are easy to zoom in on using your fingers to pinch on a touch screen or touchpad. Just scroll down to advance.[/su_panel]
Working with a dip pen and ink
Here’s how to handle ink. We often say ink is evil, because if you’ve ever spilled it… well you know. Trust us. It’s the worst thing to spill; it stains, and seems to spread to everything. We have a simple method that stops ink from spilling so easily. Just view the following slideshow, and you’ll be a master of evil ink.
Tip: you can also move your ink bottle away from your elbow area.
When using ink, try to work from the top and move down the paper as you work. That way you won’t smear ink underneath your hand as easily.
Have fun! Ink may be evil when spilled, but it’s one of our favorite mediums.

Taping your ink bottle to a base stops most spills before they happen! We use modeling clay to stick our bottles onto a plastic plate.

The base also helps keep the cap from rolling away. Do not use the dropper to draw with.

The bottle shown here, is designed so you can dip your pen all the way to the bottom without submerging the handle.
Tap the nib against the bottle to remove some excess ink so you don’t get drips.
[su_divider top=”no” divider_color=”#2EB8B1″ size=”1″ margin=”5″]

The nib has a rounded top and should be held like this. It can be bent, and that ruins it, so be gentle. If you notice a split in the nib, that is how the ink travels to the tip, and all nibs are split like this.

This is upside down! A nib held like this will scratch up your paper and not work very well.
